Thumbs up Question Re Replaced Throttle Cable

We just replaced the throttle cable on my 914 2.0 with carbs . Works fine but sometimes when I go into third gear it hangs up and the engine continues to rev . Correct cable was kind of expensive so I wont drive it until I figure this out as I dont want to replace it again real soon . Thanks for your input

You probably got the throttle cable snagged up with the shift linkage in the tunnel - try again!

...Or with the clutch cable. Very common to do that; look up at the front of the center tunnel to check the cables.
