I am putting a 2.7RS approx. 220hp into my 914 with fiberglass fenderflares and 15x7 but hopefully moving to 15 16x8 and 9. So the car is going to be mostly for the track and I was wondering whether
1. Early 930 or carrera 4 brakes are better?? 2. Will they fit under 15's 3. Is this overkill?? PS I know there is another post on brakes but I was wondering about mostly track use seeing as i HAVE A HORRIBLE DRIVING RECORD and probably can't afford to insure!!!!

Oopps, I almost forgot,
Can I use a 66 911 front end for the conversion to 5 lug and will the above mentioned brakes work with this setup???

The 66 front end has 3 inch space between the mounts for calipers....that limits you to early model calipers....you need at least an SC front end to get the 3.5 space required for big reds. Big reds will fit inside of 17 inch and up wheels....sorry Charlie.... Z |

So I need to go ahead and get rid off the 66 911 front end and get SC hubs, struts, and what else???
SC hubs can take me all the way to big reds?? Also Carrera 4 from lets say 1990 these are big reds??

I don't think the SC struts will let you bolt on Big Reds. But there are adaptors you can buy that will let you bolt them up.
