Lifting 914 engine question?
I have a question for everyone.
I maybe getting a 2.0L engine within a week or two and am not sure how to load it into my truck. It more then likely be on a pallet. Can two guys and one wife pick up the pallet and load it into the truck? If not any ideas? I have a moving dolly I have been using to move my old engine around on. Maybe some 2x12's and make a ramp??? Thanks ![]()

It's been a while, but IIRC, two average guys can lift a 914 engine fairly easily.

2 guys can lift it pretty easily. You can lift it by the heads if that's easier.

The fix is working very well. But...
The clutch itself is now showing its age (slipping at high-ish revs), so I'm giving some money to ours hosts here at PP, and getting the clutch kit. That'll be a fun project. I'm gonna have a print of the Pelican Tech Article in one hand and a wrench in the other. Let me know if you need a hand with that motor.
