Stock seat differences?
I have a '73 that is in need of a passengers side seat. Is there any difference between the 70-76 model years? I want to ensure that if I buy only one seat that it matches the one I do not replace.

The 70-71 seats have fixed passenger seats, 72-76 are completely interchangeable, I believe.

The material of the cushions changed through the years. I do not remember exactly when, though.
I do know that "tartan cloth" (e.g., plaid) was an option on 75-76 cars, not sure about earlier. On some early cars, some of the cushions were grained vinyl (like the bolsters & headrest) rather than basket weave. I think (but am not certain) that the basket weave changed slightly at some point in time. The driver's seats have a small dish on thhe left side to make a little more room for the handbrake handle. Otherwise, the driver's seats and 72-76 passenger's seats are all interchangeable. As implied above, they may look different, though. --DD
