Engine Installation

I have a question for the 914 guys.
I have recently purchased a 914 2.0 however no 2.0 motor came with it.
I do have a 914 1.7 motor.
Q: Will the 1.7 install without any changes to the transaxles or mounting issues??
Thannks

the engine will physically fit and mate up with the transaxle with no problems.

However, the cooling tins, exhaust and various fuel injection parts from the 2.0 wont fit on a 1.7.

the 2 liter 914 heads are far superior performers
