Smile Clutch/ Shift problems fixed

I was having trouble with my newly rebuilt tranny. I didn't replace my clutch whith the rebuild which I know was rather dumb. The clutch that was in there looked pretty new so I just didn't bother with it. Well after checking out clutch kits & trying to decide which one to get. I remembered hearing a similar problem on PP bbs.
Well it turned out my clutch cable was stretched, cracked & basically worthless. Got a new one & I never new a 914 could go through the gears so nice. What a great simple fix. By the way thanks to whoevers thread it was. A rare thing to have a $10.70
fix on a 914! Hot dog I'm back on the road
