More background on Ice Green Metallic paint on a 914

I am trying to get a little more background on the color on my car. All indications point towards the color Ice Green Metallic. It is a 74 and the paint code is 98, paint to Porsche color. Does anyone know of another 914 painted this color? I am still waiting for confirmation on the COA, but wanted to see if I could get any more info on it.

We talked about this car for a while on the 914world website. Are you the same owner from there, or are you a new owner of the same car, or is this another car with the same color?

If "98" is actually "paint to sample", there's no guarantee that it is an existing Porsche or VW color of any kind.

I am the same owner from over there, sorry for the confusion. I would normally have posted this there, but its down. It was my understanding that 99 was the paint code for color to sample, and 98 was paint to Porsche color. Did I have those mixed up?

98 is paint to sample in non metallic
99 is paint to sample in metallic

those might be backwards but those are the differences.

I was basing that off my understanding from the description given by Steve Gagliones' COA. It has the 98 paint code, which is referenced as paint to sample on the COA, but has been confirmed as the Porsche color Sahara Beige.

I'll be ordering mine in a few weeks, though I'm not sure if it is worth the 110$ or not

Whatever happened to Kevin Faust and his metallic candy apple green 914? The "Jolly Rancher"!
