I was wondering if there is anyplace on the net where I can look up my VIN. According to my insurance agent, the VIN for my car says it's a 914-6, but the car is definately a four. So I want to find out what the deal is.

If your car started life as a factory 6, the first three digits of the VIN will be "914".

The years in that document are all off by one. Add one to the year shown to get the actual model year of the car. (E.g., it says "1969" where the car model year was actually 1970.)
Except for the 916s, they were all 72 models and not 1969 or 1970 ones. --DD
