Starting search for 914/6

I would like to begin my search for an excellent 914/6 and I figured I'd start here. I expect to take up to a year or more to find the perfect candidate.

Keep your eyes and ears open and e-mail me if you come across anything meeting the following criteria.

Original 914/6 (no conversions)

Car must be excellent to perfect to concours condition.

No rust. No accidents. No bondo.

Must have correct engine number.

Color preference (in order of desire).

Silver
Signal Orange
Yellow
White

I will accept the following types of modifications.

Engine modification using original case OR different engine with original engine available.

Side shifter conversion

Suspension modifications/improvements

Brake modifications/improvements

Larger wheels

Fender flares (OEM steel only).

No cut up door panels for speakers

total 914-6's made... approximatly 3200

1% are actualy excellent to perfect to concours condition with no 914 issues. ( I bet it is less that that too)( this is very subjective defining perfect is tough) (showroom?)

...leaving a total avail @ 32

...only half are for sale ... 16 (for a reasonable sum)

... 75% are located in the USA ...down to 12

Of the twelve how many are silver,orange, yellow,or white?

And we have not even talked about affordability??? The number of these cars for sale with an asking price of less than 25k ... none?

Of course I'm willing to travel or buy out of state. If I expected to find one here in Florida, I would probably pass away first!

And again, my need is NOT immediate. I planning on looking for a while.

I'm even looking around in Europe.
