Arrgghh!!!
![]() OK, I feel better now! Whew! I and _trying_ to get the shift linkage set now. What a crummy way to have to adjust the shift rods. I suppose I should be thankful that there is an access panel there at all! As I tried out my new rebuilt tranny, I lost 1st/rev, then even 2nd and 3rd. The shift rod connector was just loose enough that it would rotate one direction, and hold steady the other, completely blowing the alignment. The rod sits next to one side of the access panel, making it impossible to get to the bolt head with a wrench. I guess if I get a star washer it will help prevent the bolt head from turning. This is an early tail shift style rod. Anyone have any other suggestions?
