Acceleration problems

I have a 914, 1.7. It runs OK, but it will not accelerate very well unless the accelerator is "pumped" gently. It also struggles to maintain a constant speed easily.
I have replaced everything, from fuel hoses, Vac. hoses, points plugs, new seals around injectors etc....in other words I don't think I have any vacuum leaks.
I have readjusted the distributor(many times), and the throttle switch in various positions (and tested it as per info from Mr. Google and Pelican Parts tech. info).
Any ideas would be most welcome.

Does the Manifold Pressure Sensor (MPS) hold a vacuum?

How does the head temp sensor read, what resistance does it have warm and cold?

How is the fuel injection wiring?

Take a good look through Brad Anders' D-jetronic site: Brad's '70 914 2.0L Most of what is known about D-jet EFI is contained in that website.
