Rear fender spoiler
Anyone seen this this type of "rsr-look" spoilers on a 914 ?
Where they ever used back then? In the process of stripping down this 914-GT replica, to paint in original, Tangerine (L21E) color, and wonder if I should keep them or remove them. ![]() ![]()

I don't believe they used those back in the day. In fact, I don't think most of the GTs originally even had spoilers across the back of the deck lid.
For tons of GT photos, see: 914-6 GT's Photo Galleries at pbase.com --DD

Never seen one, but it looks good. The lines match nicely. What's your thought? Keep it or not?

If it turns out there is no sign for rust under, I think I will keep them.
However in a re-sale marked, I think it will be better to remove them. But, not building for re-sale :-)

Banned but not out, yet..

Those were created by a true artist. Original or not, I would keep them because they are 1) unique and 2) gorgeous (conformity is so boring)

I agree, they are very nicely done.
The rear trunk spoiler needs to get off due to rust underneath. After further inspections, there is rust also under these fender spoilers :-( Looks like they where design from foam to get the shape, and then fiberglass on top. Started to dig out some foam to see how far under the rust goes. If I am not able to reach the rust They needs to get off. If so, I will make molds so that I can make new ones to get on later if I decide to :-)
