>>>I never asked anybody if I should do it, or if it is worth it, just >>>since I am doing it, any guidance.

You'll often get more than you paid for on this board! Whether you ask or not you're going to get people's opinions here and pretty much everywhere else as in real life.

I have MINI ME's everywhere.. LOL

Wait until he installs those coil overs and they hit the inside of the tub when he tries to get it aligned. Or.. wait until his rims hit the bottom of the control arm because Ricky racer before him moved the spindle up 20mm's.

All possibilities. Sounds like MIkeZ sold him the struts...LOL

The first question, I already knew the answer, and shouldn't of been asked.

But the question about the sway bar, I have had several different responses in both directions.

The suspension book seems like a good way to go, so I can hear the logic from another source.

The John Rogers response got me to the source to get the hardware done. From there I will sort it out.

You need roll resistance in the front. You can get it with spring rate on the wheels, or by tying the two wheels together with a sway bar. Usually, on most high-performance (and many non-performance, even!) cars you have both.

Sway bar yes. Adjustable, so it will allow you to tune the over-/under-steer balance of the car. Coilovers make no difference--they're just torsion bars wound up into a smaller package. The basics of suspension setup still apply.

Super information. I have a good Weltmeister front bar with adjustable links I can try.

Thanks for the help!

see what I mean...914 guys are nicer

In the end, it all works out over here. Everyone is happy. A few people get to use their caustic wit and a newbie to the list (not necessarily to racing) gets the information s/he needs. Bruises but no lost teeth (like my wife's collision in her 2001 Golf yesterday with a 90 Grand Am that ran a red light). I love you guys. I really only own a 914 so I can be part of the community.
