Front Brake Rotors
Guys, A question.
The part number for the front rotors for a 70-72 914 four cylinder is 411-407-075. The part number for the 73-76 rotors is 411-407-075B. What is the difference between therm? And will the later rotors work with an early car? Larry Steckel 1971 Porsche 914. |

The short answer: They won't really work.
The longer answer: You can make them work, but you will have to switch over other parts to the later versions as well. The late rotors have the hub-centering ring so early wheels will not fit them as-is. I think they may also have a different distance between the rotor and the top of the hat, but I'm less sure about that. --DD

The offset it different, as Dave thought. Some '72 MY cars had the later brakes, IIRC.
