GA to GC engine differences?
Looks like I've found a '76 2.0L parts car for really cheap. I'm especially interested in the engine and transmission for spares. What differences (if any) are there in a '73 2.0L and a '76 2.0L regarding lower end and transmission? Note that the intakes on the '76 have already been removed so I'd move my Weber set up over from the '73.

A few little bits here and there, mostly in the fuel injection system. Some GC heads will have air injection ports. The exhaust on the GC is completely different from the GA motors. And that's about it.

Would that be on the cars for California emissions standards?

At least those; I think there may have been a few other places that had those as well.
