Which sway bar set-up?

I cant tell much difference. One is classified as "OEM" and the other is aftermarket. Which one is best for a 73 914 with turbo tie rods and stock/ hi perf front suspension?

Thanks
Korijo

The lower one is an adjustable Weltmeister bar.

They are larger (stiffer) than stock and also adjustable. That means you can tune the understeer by shortening or lengthening the (effective) arm length.

The aftermarket bars also have no rubber in the drop links, which allows a lot less "slop".

You should run at least 140lb springs in the back with a 19mm bar in the front, and probably even stiffer if you have a 22mm bar in the front (in which case you'd have to think about shock valving and torsion bars too).

I'm seeing alot of discussion about sway bars, spring rates and shocks so I'm going to ask for some advice on my particular setup.

Front:

23 mm torsion bars
Bilstein shocks (revalved)
no sway bar
-1.0 camber
225/50-16 A032

Rear

180 lb progressive rate springs
Bilstein (revalved) shocks
-1.2 camber
245/45-16 A032

The car handles great on the racetrack but way too much body roll. The handling is pretty neutral so I'm worried even a 19mm front bar will cause understeer. Should I add rear bar too or increase rear springs to 200 lbs. The car is mostly used for PCA DE's, no autocross and a little street driving

A 21mm front sway bar will stop the body roll and forget the rear bar. Maybe jump up to the 200# springs in back. The car should still be pretty neutral but maybe Brad the expert will chime in....
