a K&N copy? will it work on a 914?

I saw on EBay, item # 1873957637, a air cleaner that looks like a K&N copy. It is supposed to fit a 944 non-turbo. At only $19.95 It looks like maybe it might be made to work on a 914. Anyone seen one like this?

I've seen square K&N filters in the stock 2.0 air cleaner housing before. They don't fit the best...

I've also seen the cone-shaped ones adapted for use on all types of FI'd 914s.
