Alcohol works and is cheep.
Brake cleaner is pricey and god only knows what kind of nasty sh** is in there, but it works.

I've had pretty good luck lately (read, been spilling a lot of b-fluid), with Castrol Super clean and an immediate rinse afterwords. I spray the SC on the brake fluid as fast as I can, and then go get the hose. Haven't lost any paint I've done this on. YMMV.

Your local Wal-mart has it for about 76¢ per can - same stuff as the name brand stuff. Always had good luck cleaning up brake fluid spills with denatured alcohol followed with water. AFJuvat

I've seen just plain ol' water recommended in a number of places. That's what I've used when I've gotten it on my paint. A rinse with lots of water.
On concrete, I'll usually mop up the worst of it with a couple of paper towels. If I'm motivated, I'll then hit it with water. --DD
