installing new a-arm bushings?
trying to put in new poly sus. bushings. I can get them about a 1/3 of the way on and then can't get them to move any farther. I'm using the grease that is recomended. any suggestions?

A few have said that the bushings are not sized correctly and need to be machined for optimum fit. Usually you put the bushing in the holder (for lack of the proper word) and then slip onto the arm. If you can't get it on with a few taps of a mallet, something is not right. Use emory cloth on the surface of the arm to polish the surface and make sure the bushing is not cocked to one side as you slide it on. I ruined one trying too hard and the next one I picked up fit like a glove. However, I had two different brands at the same time on the bench. Don't ask why, it's too long of a story. The bottom line is that they are not all the same!
