http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/914_five_lug_conversion/914_five_lug_conversion.htm Cost depends on which method you use (both initial cost and ongoing costs, with some methods) and how much of the work you can do yourself. I do not recommend the four-to-five adaptors, as I do not think they are safe enough for a 914 that is driven the way I think a 914 "should" be driven... As for wheels, 6x16 Fuchs or Cookie Cutters are cheap. As are 6x15s. They should fit nicely, and allow 195 or 205 width tires. (205s may not fit on some 914s.) 7x15s or 7x16s can work, but are a lot more iffy. --DD

Probably the cheapest "safe" way without using adaptors is to restud the 914 4 lug rear hubs and front rotors. Figure about $500 plus the cost of the wheels. Doing it that way, you don't get the 911 front suspension, bigger brakes, etc, and every time you need new front rotors you need to have them drilled for 5 lug. If you go for the 911 front struts, figure on $1500 plus wheels if you "do it right". I mean new rotors, brake pads, brake lines, turbo tie rods, ball joints, etc.

BTW, there are lots of threads on the 5 lug conversion. Try a search but here's a few to start with: stub axle removal Rear 5 lug Hub kits? 5 lug conversion
