7X15 4 lug wheels

I am looking for a set of 15X7 4 lug wheels to fit under stock 914 fenders. I will be using Hoosier 205X50 autocross tires. If anyone has some for sale or knows where I can find some please email me at Porsche1VW@aol.com.

Thanks, Ricardo

Revolution, Panasport and Compomotive all sell 15x7 (4x130mm bolt circle) with the correct offset

Revolution

Compomotive

For Panasport, try Americas Tires/Discount Tires...they can get them at a reasonable cost.......

Ricardo, didn't know if you were aware of this or not but you can put your 205/50's on your stock 5.5 inch wheels.

Peter, that is true, but the car will handle better on the wider rims....

I have two sets of 7x15 Revolutions with a 5" back space. It is tight but they work. Not the lightest wheel out there, being that they are cast aluminum, I've had them for 12 years with out problems. Sorry thier not for sale.

URY914,

I have noticed the Revolutions on your car. I also have Revolutions, 6.5 x 15, with 5-1/8" backspacing, with 205/60-15 Yoko AVS Intermediates on them. I've had mine for about 12 years also and they work well. They fit the stock rear fenders well. The fronts will rub the inner body at full lock, which normally does not occur. Mine are black center with polished outer rim.

Back around '82-83 there was an outfit called "Specialty Racing Wheels" who made a set of 15x7 wheels for 914's with different offsets for fronts and rears, #M7C. They kinda looked like 8 spoke empis and were a two piece modular wheel. They were on a european car mag project car in April '83. I had a 73 2.0 with these wheels and 215/60/15's fit under stock fenders w/ no problem. I'll bet that ol' Georgie at AA has a set (or 2) but he probably wants a jillion $$$$ for 'em.

I have 4 fake Fuchs made by AEW (American Eagle Wheels). They are unused , but close to ten years old. Two are15x7 and two are 15x6. (5 bolt) How can I tell if they will fit under my stock fenders? I also have a set of Torque Thrusts that I found on a 912 in a junkyard with a 5 bolt porsche pattern. (talk about rare) Thanks Pete

Look for 5 inches of "backspacing". That's the distance from the inner lip of the rim to the mounting pad where the wheel sits on the hub. Much more or much less than 5 inches and they won't fit right.

Even with the right wheels, some 914s cannot fit tires wider than 195 under stock fenders.
