KN air velocity kit
Anybody have any experience with this system from 9xauto? KN filter + something else.Should bring out more Hp....too easy to be true?Works with 914-4 fuel injected 1.8 & 2.0. Sorry , that I donīt have a 914... 912E instead. With the original L-Jetronic. I just donīt believe that you could get so much out for fitting a system like that.If it would be true , why didnīt PORSCHE do that in the first place? The L-jetronic on 914 & 912E , is it the same?As they donīt say it would fit to 912E , they only mention 914.
Thank you , e k i |

Give this a try
If I were you I'd give this idea a try:
http://members.rennlist.com/demick/coldair.html It's only $4 in materials and has been said to work by an auto-x'er. Save your money for other things...get cheap performance where you can ![]() Nathan

Mueller asked them if they had dyno results to show the HP gain. Their reply was that he should go find a dyno and try it for himself.... Yeah, I believe their HP claims...
BTW, a guy on this past weekend's Roadglue tour had a cold-air intake from some form of Honda that he got at his local parts store. Fit the 1.7 intake nicely, from what I could see.... --DD

Oh guys , you are smart !!!Now you know why I asked. And saved me 99$ .... I just saw the ad , and I was wondering... what if?I have seen these things fitted to several ricecookers, lots of noise, nice looks , etc.But I was kind of sceptical,as I said if something like that would work, most likely PORSCHE would use it.
Thank you , each and everyone! e k i |

This post by JmuRiz got me think'n, so I went out and looked at my stock intake. The intake nose was pointed to the right front of the engine bay and I could deffinetly feel a difference in temp from one side to the other. I turned the intake nose to the left side where the cooler air is. I think I noted a difference but not positive.

A couple of pics here of the 1.7 with the "Honda intake" (bought from a FLAPS, unknown exactly what kind of Honda it is intended for).
This car was on last weekend's Roadglue run. If you have a 1.7 and don't like the oil bath air cleaner, this isn't the worst option in the world... --DD
