Help: Where to set Mixture Control Unit

1977 924. Installed new mixture control unit. Where should I set mixture? As I adjust it, it controls whether fuel flows with just the ignition on. Should fuel flow with just the ignition on? Trying to get this car running again. Appreciate any advice.

On my wifes 78 924, when you turn on the ignition, the fuel pump starts, when the car turns over, the vacuum lifts the air flow plate, which sends fuel to the injectors, as more air goes thru the air sensor, more fuel is sent to the injectors. I too am looking for initial settings on air/fuel & the bypass valve. I found one on the net the other day that talked about rough air/fuel mixture settings, but didn't save it to go back too. If I find it again, I'll let you know.
