Auto Tranny Fluid Recomendation
I recently purchases an 89 944 with and automatic. I am planning to drop the transmission pan and change the fluid and filter. What have you used and would recommend? What is called for by the factory? -Rick

Yes all versions of Dexron are backward compatible.
However I would spend a little more and get more than than the basic fluid and get the best. RedLine, Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF, Valvoline Synthetic ATF, etc. You don't want to be replacing or rebuilding your 30 year old transmission. |
