Alignment question
First post, I think* - and really just something I'm curious about as I work on my 1983 944.
I know both self-locking nuts connecting the strut to the steering knuckle (spindle) are to be replaced once removed, but when the car inevitably goes in for an alignment after, does the shop that does the alignment replace them too? I obviously know nothing about what is involved with an alignment, but it seems if adjustments have to be made, both those strut-to-knuckle bolts have to be loosened. Just wondering if anybody knows, guess I should ask the shop when I take it in for the alignment. Keith * Nope, apparently not. ![]() |

New nuts is sufficient. You do need the toe tool and some one that is knowledgeable on the rear adjustments
