I can't get my injectors out!
I was going to take them out because they seemed awfully loose, but they won't unscrew or pull out! Haynes says that they should pull out 'quite easily,' but no such luck. What should I try before I pull really hard?

Chances are; if you pull them out, and the rubber seals are brittle you will destroy the seals. Unless you have some new seals on hand, I wouldn't chance it. Order new seals first -- if you think they are leaking -- then pull them out and clean them. Or......just pull really, really, hard and see what happens.j/k..

I don't think they are leaking, but I would bet they need cleaning. Are they suppposed to be really loose? I was really surprised. I will leave them alone for now I guess, with special attention to see if they leak.

Mine are difficult to pull out. What I do is squirt some motor oil on the O-ring that is in the block. Then I pry each one a little at a time with, of course, the fuel rail unbolted from the valve housing and head. The prying tool I use has a split end on it that goes around the injector near its base. It has a curved shaft and is about the size of a medium screwdriver.
Mine wiggle when I unbolt the rail bracket from the valve cover and head. Because they wiggle does not necessarily mean they leak air pressure.
