How many people does the 924 hold?

Hi everybody, I just bought a 1977 Martini Championship Edition 924 project car that has been sitting since 2013. I'm excited to get it running again.

But anyway, I know this sounds like a rediculous question, but how many people does the 924 hold? The reason I'm asking is because the factory sticker under the hood on the fender says that the car carries 2 people, but the car has back seats. So I looked closer at the back seats and there are only dimples cast into the seat material where the seatbelts would go, but no holes or seatbelts. So I looked online at back seat pictures of other Martini Edition cars and some of them have rear seatbelts and some dont.

So getting back to my original question, why is that? Are some 924's "two seaters" (although they have a back seat and no seatbelts), and some 924's are four seaters? I'm thinking this topic must have been covered somewhere on the internet, but I didn't find any info.

I believe they were available as an option but it wasn't until 1981 that they were standard equipment. A South African owner of a '80 924 Turbo reported having a single rear seat belt that stretched from one side to the other! Presumably for securing helmets when not in use.

Certainly never as much as in a VW Beetle.

I'm driving, my oldest son is in the front passenger seat, and my middle son is behind him in the back seat. The hatch is full of camping gear and the cooler is behind my seat. My boys were 6 and 8 at the time. They fit and they loved it. At about 10 years old the back seat lost it's charm.

A word of advice. Drain the excess water out of the cooler before bombing the corkscrew.

I think technically, its a 2+2, meaning 4 seats in total but that includes the 2 useless ones in the back.

I think many moons ago a "2+2" received more favorable insurance rates than a "2-seater", and that may be the origin of those vestigial, tyranasaurous-rex-arm-like rear seats.

Campground must be "first come, first served," given that it looks like you're in a hurry!

That was RSR-IV

Camping just off turn 9.

We woke up Saturday morning to the sound of a pack of quad cams screaming down the track for the first practice session of the day.
I opened the tent flap to a wall of fog.

My boys and I could not see the track through the mist, but standing there with them, listening to the sound of each passing car in the fog was the best wake up call ever.

A real 2 seater like a cayman or boxster has no front seat recline room... Whether you use the +2 for passengers, cargo or reclining the front seat, it is nice to have...

If they're like a GTV-6 3 cause the driver needs the room and the front passenger has his knees against the dash so the passenger in the back can fit with his knees against the passenger seat.

924/944 are all "2+2". In all markets. The only exception would be the 924 Carrera GT/GTS but thats not what you have..

and seriously - you didn't think to google images of 924 interiors first?
