Adding Pwr Steering To '83 944

Does Anyone Know If It's Possible To Add
Power Steering To A 1983 944 And If So How?

You will need a power steering rack, hoses, pump, resivoir, bracket for the pump, tensioner for the pump, and possibly a new crank pulley.

Dude, why would you want to add power steering. If I had it I would be asking to get rid of it. If u ask me I don't think it is worth the trouble.

Though I have to agree with stray, I might have most of the components for sale quite soon.

If you decide to stay with the manual steering, be sure to keep the front tires inflated to spec. When the air in the front tires are low, steering effort is very high.

Other than that, manual steering is very liveable, plus many people seem to have power steering problems in their 944s.
