944 Auto performance question
Anyone know the 0-60 and top speed facts for a 1985 944 N/A with an automatic... My son has this kid at school who is blowing smoke up his butt about his stock 944 doing 0-60 in 6 sec and a TS of 150mph.
I want the facts so my boy can shoot him down. |

Well, 0-60 in 6 seconds and 150mph top speed is correct for a 944 Turbo... but the 944 auto is somewhere in the 9 second range for 0-60 I think, and 130 top speed.

Well before I turned my auto 85-1/2-2 into a 944 Supra It would manage 0-60 in the mid 7's. Top speed "stomped" but didnt sound like it was comming apart around 135. Now 2'nd gear in the 944 auto is enourmous! I found myself quite suprised on 1 or 2 occations when I out pulled some cars that, well, I really should not have.
