Power steering hoses questions

Hi, everyone.
There are two leaks in this system. One is just below reservoir from the hose/connector leading to a "radiator-like" cooling loop (behind bumper) and another from the flex hose (top) coming from steering box.
Question 1: I understand that hose from reservoir is a return, low pressure line. Can I just replace hose from reservoir to the cooling loop, affixed to metal line with a hose clamp? In this case compression fitting must be cut and removed. See associated pictures (diagram part #31):







Question 2: Refer to the diagram indicated as an arrow and a question mark. From diagram this line seems to be metal, but on the actual picture I see a bent flex hose. Is that existing flex hose a wrong part, installed by a PO? See pictures:

Question 1, Yes, you can cut off the metal end and run a hose with a hose clamp. make sure you get some hose that is capable of handling ATF.

Question 2. No, that is the factory part. Part of the hose is metal and part is rubber.

I'll need to view the PS hoses and lines with borescope to identify all of them...

I found the replacement part for that leaking hose: 94434744907. The old part was 944347449-06.

heres the numbers from rock auto, you can compare. Im seeing it in Canadain dollars from here. you can confirm year and model. If you want OEM it may be a little different. i'd suspect higher but who knows, maybe its competitive.

you might rather support Peican, they won't ship here so it's not an option for me. URo wont either, they tell me to look on ebay where they will ship to Canada.

I/ve owned cars that have always had wet PS hoses, never fixed them, never had much fluid loss either. probably best to fix them up properly. the stray fluid might attack the engine mounts etc. oil and rubber equal mushy rubber. That's a pretty tight bend.

The part numbers you game me are for reservoir to pump (already replaced) and pump to steering box (in good working order).
I already ordered the leaky one - from steering box to reservoir (part of the one with looped pipe under the headlight) from Pelican.

I did, I even replaced allen head banjo screw with a true hex head one (on steering box). Will need to finish the job with adding ATF and bleeding Power Steering system.

update:
replaced return hose/line from Steering box to "cooler" (under bumper) and from this "cooler" to PS Fluid Reservoir.
I also installed a new, hex-head banjo screw. After running the engine for a few minutes, I bled PS system, replacing PS Fluid with new Valvoline Synthetic fluid.
Next - drive test.
