Source for Hood Shocks?
Anyone buy hood shocks for their 944 recently? If so what was your source, the price for the pair, and are you satisfied with them? Thanks.

Got mine there for about $12 each, and the quality is there as well. This was a while ago, though. They are $16.90 right now. [This message has been edited by Panzer909 (edited 02-28-2001).] |

You can ALWAYS find 944 shocks on eBay. I see bidders walking away with a brand new pair of hood shocks for $10.00. These are also OEM hood shocks. Now the rear hatch shocks are a different story. I always see these starting out at $49.00 for the pair and usually sell for under $60.00. Still way cheaper than through Performance Products or Tweeks.

You guys are saying prices ranging from $19(here at pelican) to $10(ebay). Is $9 really that big of a difference. Why not be loyal and support Pelican Parts. They are nice enough to let us use their web space to further expand our knowledge. Nine dollors guys, thats nothing.

I bought mine through Automotion for about $12/each. Because they tend to break so quickly and inexpensive, I guess it's better to buy it from big companies.

That's $18 total. It may not be much to you but it's 3 hours work for me.

BINGO Stray. We need to support Pelican everytime we can. Besides, if we have a problem with a part, we are dealing with Wayne, not someone we have never talked to, or even worse, someone who doesn't have a clue.
