Test pipe is a straight through pipe used to replace the catalytic converter for testing. A trottle cam makes you think you have more power because the trottle is opened more with less pedal mash, but when it's to the floor there is no difference. drew1 |

Test pipe.
- Allows for the removal of the catalytic converter. the result is that your exhaust has a more free flowing path. This helps to reduce pressure and allows the motor to rev a bit quicker (test pipes work... check for any smog rules or laws in your area first... here in California, a test pipe is a no no) Throttle cam Has no direct or indirect effect on performance. It is used only to get a feeling of more performance. I does this my changing the way your motor responds to input from the gas pedal. The result is that your motor will also rev a bit quicker but it will not add any extra power. |
