HELLO ALL, VISITING FROM THE 911 BOARD AND AM LOOKING FOR A ROUGH PRICE EST. ON A TURBO 79,, CAR IS IN GOOD MECH RUNNING AND COSMETIC SHAPE ..THE SEATS ARE RIPPED UP AND IT HAS ABOUT A TWENTY DOLLAR PAINT JOB,, BUT WADAYA THINK IT'S WORTH??

In respectable condition I would give the car about a 3 to 5 thousand price range. Be warned though, the 79 model year was still a series 1 model turbocahrger which unfortunatly had many problems and failed relativly early due to poor oil circulation.

naah, drive it until you kill it.. then part it out. those cars are a BLAST to drive. have fun with it while you have it.
then when you part it out, you will more than get your money's worth. obin |

Tough question...Mileage? Tranny, drive train, clutch OK? Is that what you meant by
'good mechanical condition'? How 'bout sus- pension, axles & frame? Compression OK? Turbo behave? I'd guess $3,000 might get my attention. Location/market? If you find an '81 Turbo write me. Obin, 1.2gees et al probably have a good handle on $$$, across the country. |
