hi guys, i jsut bought a maf system from powerhaus for my 87 951 with a k-27, i can't assembly it completly because they forgot to send the air filter with it, duh....but anyways, once it is installed it says to set the co2 level, how do you do this, plug a gauge into the o2 sensor, did everyone with a maf do this, or did you jsut install it and go...also, i've ordered a lindsey duel port wastegate, so now i can adjust the boost level, on the instructions for the chips it says something about NOT installing the klr chip, does anyone have a duel port wastegate and a maf flow system, i know some of you do,so did you install both of the chips? does installing this wastegate with the boost controller override the factory overboost shutdown feature, if so what level of boost do you guys run, 12 13 15 pounds?..i dont want to blow up the first day..let me know guys, thnaks...jeff

Call Lindsey again and get their air/fuel and injector monitor for a total of $99
Unplug the O2 and run the car. Adjust the potentiometer on the Mass Air so that the air/fuel gauge reads close to 14:1 (will be shown on gauge). Make sure you have an FPR at the least. Get bigger injectors latter to crank the boost past 15 psi or so safely. Erick |

Powerhaus injectors - about 43 lbs at 36 psi. You might want to try the even bigger ones that Lindsey sells to have more of a window of safety.
Stock flows around 30 lbs at about 45 psi I believe. With your regulator cranked to 3.5 at idle, you may be asking for a fuel pump failure or locking your injectors at high boost pressure. BTW is that 3.5 without the vaccum line connected to the FPR? Make sure and get an air/fuel before you go romping on it! Erick |

To compliment the air/fuel gauge you should also get a 4-wire O2 sensor - Jasonat Paragon has them for about $35.
Although people say that the air/fuel is only an approximation as it can't accuratley determine ratios beyond 13-15:1, it is accurate in that it will be constantly inaccurate with repect to the ratios. In other words, at full load, your a/f may look like 12:1 on the gauge although it is actually 11:1 in the engine. This is because a "wideband" O2 sensor is t least $400 and your $35 sensor has nowhere near the capability on the farther ends of the scale. nevertheless, the stock sensor is consistently wrong. In other words, 12:1 on your sensor will most always be 11:1 in the engine, or whatever relation there happens to be. I like to run mine full rich until about 5000 rpm and then have one light go out on the rich end. Erick |

i dont remember how i set, i jsut did from the instructions that came with the k-27, when i bought that..windward, whom i bouught the turbo from, said to also buy the fpr..so i did, set it by there instructions, haven't checked it....the problem was, if you recall, was that in a previous post i said i was underboosting after i washed the car, as you recall, i figured it was an air, or not enough air into the engine so i decided to go with the maf, i was going to buy one eventually anyways, thinking an improvement in airflow will solve the problem, but might it have been a fuel problem as you described?..hwo do you check the injectors, the cars got 90k on it..or should i jsut change them to be safe?, i probably will anyways...let me knwo thanks..jeff
