LOOKING FOR A WIRE ON THE ENGINE-PLEASE HELP!
Need a quick tip here. I just found the sensor under and in front of the throttle body that send the temp to the temp guage inside. Well, one of the wires is missing (only one connected). It should have two wires hooked onto it, correct? The one that is connected has the big adapter on it, so the little adapter is missing. Maybe that is the ground. I can not find any loose wires around. Well, the temperature guage say the engine is on fire with that one big wire on, but it says that the engine is freezing when I take it off. It does this all when the engine is off, but ignition is on. Please tell me what you know. Maybe run out to the garage to see where your little wire on the temp send device runs to. Thanks guys!

Thanks for helping! It is an 85 1/2. The temp sender had 2 connector points, but only 1 wire is connected now, so I thisnk that is the problem. Or, you think I just need a new sensor? Thanks again! Ian
