Here's my Ford Ranger that I had. I used to Beat / Baby it like crazy, It finally just wore out @ 120,000 miles ( 4 yrs old ). Let the bank take it.

Well, there's my 'teener . Fun little car, needs some TLC once I get settled down, but it's fun right now.

And there's also the Lincoln . Fun in its own right. Just a touch under 300 hp, it never feels as though it's working hard at all, definitely a "Gentleman's cruiser".

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

Let the bank take it?

Glad I don't have your credit score.

Cars I've had? On a value basis, the ones that I would like to own today are the '69 Corvette, and the '67 Camaro convertable.
I had great plans to make the Corvette perfect, but it was more fun to abuse it.

The Ranger pix made me wish I still had the old Jeep I bought from an insurance auction, and pieced back together just good enough to go thrash in the woods.

The car that has a special place for me and maybe even closer to me than my old 924 (that saved my life) is my wifes 2002 Convertible Mustang that I bought for her.

I bought this car for her in 2002...... What I didn't know would happen is that the car would be totalled shortly after. I was actually extremely lucky that day.......I just don't think it was my wifes time to go ....

She was struck by a 2002 3/4 ton dodge 4x4.....at approximately 40-50 mph from the rear as she was stopped at a light.....

So the car ended up looking like this. So I was ready to take the insurance payout (they were to pay the actual price I paid for the vehicle)....but something inside me made me ask my adjuster what I could by this car back for? so a long story short it was basicly a give away. The car was writtenoff and I could buy it for approximately 3K. So I spoke to my brother in-law (owns a body shop) what could be done with the car..... we number crunched and away I went in rebuilding her dream car...... I found a rear clip for 1.5K I figured I would upgrade the suspension and stiffen up the chassis as well, kenny brown supsension/springs/camber strut braces/ jacking rails/ KB xtremebraces etc..etc..etc...

SO the car to this point has cost me half of what I paid for it new.....but TONS of HOURS of work by me. The car is in the garage right now awaiting the engine work (finishing my 951 right now)...... by next spring she will have her new internals and blower.....

So my wife has her car back and I still have my wife .... call it insanity but somehow I have a great sense of pride in putting that car back together.... She will probably drive it until it dies. So it definitely has a special place in my heart....

So here it is smashed from the rear........... what you can't see is the front got rammed into the car that was in front of her! No damage past the grill/bumper and hood!....If it would of had structural damage in the front it would of been a goner......

Here is the rear clip I bought from a recycler in Alabama. For my wifes birthday in November I flew her with me to Vancouver for a weekend on a business trip. The one day I drove across the border picked up my clip at a loading yard outside of seattle and drove back to Vancouver in a u-haul!!! The rear clip fit inside.

We then drove back to Edmonton (1000 miles) throught BC and the mountains. I have driven these parts many times but the crowsnest past was at an all time worst!!!! I drove with the truck for an hour driving with it just idleing...I could not press the gas the snow visibility was so poor!!!

Here is the car with the body work complete. We had just drove it back and we had stopped at a neighbors home.

The wife decided back to Trueblue with more silver pearl in the paint... It actually looks pretty nice in real life. She decided to keep the car in her words 'not as flashy'.

I think I may use that lipstick red color on the 951........ I will probably go with a red..... maybe even a candy apple red.... BLASPHEMY!!!!

Here is a pic of the 951 one sitting in my garage... no engine or interior....
