rearview mirror adhesive
My drivrside rearview mirror fell out. I got dibs on a mirror from Dr. Holyoak if he has one. Is that silver backing the heating element? What kind of adhesive should I use to affix replacement mirror?

I am tempted to say silicone it, but I don't know about the heater element, perhaps the silicone would not transfer the heat to the glass as well.

Todwic,
Greetings from the Lakewood/Cypress area... I used Permatex Black Silicone on the 923 drivers side mirror. 2 years and still holding. Bob ![]()

Greetings, Bob! Good to see LW hasn't blown away since I left. Did it have heated mirror, and did the silicon interfere with that? At this point, I don't really care, tho. I really miss my mirror.

5 minute epoxy. and it holds in all weather and temperatures. I'm not sure that's what I was "supposed" to use, but it works just fine.
Yeas- silver "radiator" with contacts is the heating element.
