The cable sheath is pulled loose from the bracket behind the console or something has jammed the lever on the valve (located between the back of the engine and the firewall).

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

The bezel that the three sliders and the blower speed control knob stick out of has two philips heads in the bottom. Takes a stubby screw driver. Pull the sliders out and the knob out. The bezel will then come off.

Depending on what radio you have it may be in the way of the two screws.

Use a flash light to follow the levers to where the associated cable sheath is clamped to the plastic frame. The common failure is to have the metal retaining clip break off. That is the plastic part of the frame the clip latches to breaks off.

Think there are three screws to remove the bracket. Two in the front and one toward the "back" of the bracket.
