1985.5 Automatic tranny.. recently as i have been accelerating i feel a vibration on my gas pedal and the car feels kinda "UNEASY" and slightly "SHAKY"
i noticed it after the cat blew out but i dont think there is a correlation. i DO drive the tranny pretty hard with downshifts and such.. what could it be? flex plate? SHAUN |

It could be the flex-plate, but usually that will make a rattling noise from the front.
Try checking the engine mounts, balance shaft belt timing. Difficult to diagnose but get someone to listen while you duplicate the noise. Sometimes the flexplate at the rear cracks and causes a similar noise. Can you get the noise with the car on a lift? |

Probably the flex plate. Your admitted driving style is hard on parts. Especially if you forget to shift and run the car up to the point that you blow chunks. The blown cat event and your high speed run's are probable now having an effect. Try getting a trans service, fluid, filter etc.
