Question Ever had to replace A/C clutch?

how can you tell if your compressor is fried also?

how often is it that the compressor makes the clutch break?

I bolted the broken parts back together and turned the car on and it blows really cold.

An AC guy told me that an overheating compressor can ruin the coil by melting the insulation of the coil wires by passing heat into the cltuch through the shaft. Seems to me if it got that hot, the compressor would destroy itself.
