Dumb Question: How many spark plugs do I need?

I think I only need four for my 84' n/a, but I've never messed with spark plugs before so....

Yes, you need four. Just remember #plugs=#of cylinders.

Yes, 4 spark plugs for a 944.

But I think there are some cars out there that require 2 spark plugs per cylinder. I think some 911s are like this.

Yes, and some newer Mercedes models, and European V-6 Alfas...and rotaries, come to think of it, with a leading and trailing plug per trochiodal housing.

I knew I should have qualified my statement. Most of the time #plugs=#of cylinders.

My Ford Ranger has two per cylinder, it doesn't run worth a crap tho! I run the Bosch +4's in my 951.

Aren't you not supposed to run plat. +4's on a turbo?

Goku is right. The +4s have too much material(the four ground points), get hot, and can cause detonation. Most 951 owners use Bosch Platinums(single ground).

Euro, the 928 never came with dual spark plugs (per cylinder)... Come to think of it, that would've sucked from a maintenance point, 16 spark plugs?

I have herd several viewpoints on the +4's, I don't get detonation from them but I run around 97 octane also to keep detonation to a minimum under high boost.
