Blinker Issues
Ahoy fellow 944ers. I've run into a problem with my turn signals and thought I'd run it past everyone for suggestions.
Right now, my driver side turn signals are acting very strangely. At first they would just stop working as if a bulb had gone out. However, currently the rear turn signal will blink at about twice the normal rate and the front turn signal and running light won't blink at all. I'm a bit stumped, as i've checked all the bulbs and they're fine and I cleaned the grounding terminals in the back and front driver side by the headlight. I also installed a new turn-signal lever the other week, but the problem was present both before and after the change (it was swapped out for different reasons). Also, the passenger side turn signals work fine when activated. I'm no good at this electrical business, so if anyone could spare some insight, I'd appreciate the help. Oh yeah, it's a manual 1985.5 N/A. Thanks. ![]() -Steve |

Try changing the front bulb. If not Try the blinker relay.

Two types of blinker relays. One electronic and one resistance. The electronic use a small IC for timing. The resistance the bulb filliments.
