Where's my cruise computer?

Anyone know where the cruise control computer is located exactly? I have to check the connections on it; Clark's says driver's footwell just above the hood lever, but I don't see anything there except fuses & relays. The only silver box in the vicinity is directly under the steering column (up under the dash) and that one says "Motronic" (the DME box, I'm guessing).

Not positive about your year, but in mine it's in the engine compartment in front of the battery and firewall.

Hmmmmm. . . I'll take a look there but I think that's just the servo unit.

Ahhh, good point. I'm not sure they're in the same area.

I haven't dug mine out yet, but I think on early models it is in the center section behind the side wall next to the driver's right foot. Can anyone confirm this?

And yes, the component in front of the battery in the engine compartment is the srevo. It is not co-located with the "brain."
