Knocking noise

What is the sound when I shift the gears in my 944? It just started doing it. As soon as the gear shifts it makes a knocking noise...

Does your shifter have play in it?

rubber centered clutch? CV joints loose? Shock bolts at rear? rear sway bar links/bushings?
Probably something pretty easy...clutch is a job though.

If it's the clutch, replace it with a conventional spring centered clutch plate. The rubber centered ones are junk. Do you see the shifter moving around when you hear the noise?

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

It sounds like it's coming from the transmission. And it started making the noise after I went 155.....
