anyone here purchased a new carpet set?

I need to get a new carpet set for my car, it's an 86 944 n/a, with the linen colored carpet.

i'm not totally worried about matching the color i guess, but i wanted to know aboiut the fitment of the availible carpet sets, the only place i've found that has a picture of them shows like 20 pieces for the car.

i'm looking for an OEM-style carpet replacement, two piece for the front passenger floor.

any information anyone's gained first-hand would be appreciated. it seems that carpeting isn't pre-viewable or returnable... i don't mind spending money to get it right, but i'm pensive about spendin 5-600$ on carpeting that might not be what i want. thanks everyone!

Get that 20 peice. The seams won't be that noticable when its istalled and it will fit. I got a front carpet set that was a one peice and it was garbage. Don't order from performance products is my best suggestion.

Get original parts. I think Ian's has the kit for about $400 or $500. Believe me, I've done carpet on other cars I've owned and the couple of hundred bucks is worth far less than the frustration of aftermarket junk.

i searched for ian's they only seem to have carpets for the 911, i respect that the 20 pcs set looks and fits good, but my car came from the factory with a 2-piece passenger floor carpet, so thats what i'd really like to get.

i don't care about the money, i want OEM styled carpet with correct heel mat. color and fit are important too. thanks again for the help
