Thermostat parts order and quantity?
Ok...I removed my old thermostat and it had one gasket surrounding the rim, one metal spacer(i guess) and then the clip.
Updated waterpump Is this right or should there be more parts in there? I saw a reference to a large o-ring that has me wondering?

Depending on the waterpump, the thermostat needed one of the following:
thin O-ring and spacer thin O-ring and no spacer Thick O-ring and no spacer. Most thermostats come with both O-rings - you will have to try the different combinations until you find one that fits (no slop in the thermostat) AFJuvat

Thanks AF.
What I put in there was a Napa thick wraparoundthethermostat ring. I carefully trimmed the edge to fit and it is very snug. Think that should do it.
