Spacer nuts - size and source?
Just got a great deal on a pair of 2" spacers for my new boxter wheels. They were from a guy in Tampa with a 84' 911. Seem to be unused.
These are the type that have the lugs already attached and you bolt them onto your existing lugs. They came with no nuts for attachement. What do I use? Where do I get them? ![]()

Steel lug nuts, perhaps? They aren't capped so you should be able to thread them through.
He wouldn't happen to have another set of spacers, would he?

Use Porsche steel wheel nuts to hold the spacer to the hub, use Porsche alloy nuts to hold the wheel to the hub, Use a torque wrench!!!

Oooopppss,
My mistake. Pelican and paragonproducts both have them. Pelican is cheaper by over $5.00 when you include shipping. 10 for about $17. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/dbsql/db.cgi?db=partsearch&mh=20&view_records=yes&uid=default&description=lug+nut&nh=2 Thanks for the help. I will post pics of before and after, of course. ![]()

Nothing.
Boxter rims bolt right up with spacers. Without you have to grind down the front dustcaps about 1/8th inch. They look ok like this but not really custom, which is what I am going for .....like Ruf or Gemballa etc. For a really good look I like bringing the tires out to the wells. This sounds complicated but this weekend I will.. Jackstand whole car Pull all wheels Clean all wells and undercoat Paint all brake calipers ...heres the wheel part.... Move my front lugs to the rear and my rear lugs to the front. move my rear stock spacer to the front and bolt wheel on Put the 2"spacers on the rear and bolt wheel on. Oh yeh, change r Rear wheel bearing while I'm at it. Will Post before and after pics
