almost

done

took so long to figure out what i wanted to do... i had wanted to cover it in factory colored carpet... but matching the color and texture was just not gonna happen... so i kept the rear seat top, it's functional, and with some tint on the side windows, and maybe some cloth covered grills, this will be the perfect level of stealth and function for my daily driver

yeah, actually it sorta was hard... making the fiberglass forms and getting them to the right volume inside...

if you wanted to use "free air" subs, it'd be as easy as cutting the face to the shape and cutting holes... but my speakers (solobarics) are very peticular about box size...

"Free Air" subs, known as Infinite Baffle subs, do not work in the way you think they do. They actually require very large enclosures to operate properly. They require the cargo area of a trunk to make up the size of 'enclosure' that they require. In order for an infinite baffle sub to perform properly, the front and rear waves have to be isolated, this is normally done by sealing off the trunk from the car, so that the trunk actually acts as a large sealed enclosure.

Wow, what a great attitude. Now go take your Prozac and call your shrink, as it appears that you've had a relapse.

I work for a living and hate being awakened by inconsiderate jerkoffs at 4AM who more than likely live in mommy's basement..

dear fagara racing.

thanks for the positive attitude you share about customizing cars. i'm glad to see you're concerned with my health, both in terms of my hearing and sleep habits and also in terms of my overall welfare. however, i assure you that no, i don't live the in the basment of my parents house, i am self employed in the automotive restoration industry. and while yes, i often look to my porsche to find relief from occasional work-a-holic stress related insomnia... i prefer to wake jerk-offs like you with pure, unadultraded sound of my very 'personalized' machine.

with regard to my hearing, i'd just like to ease your worries about my hearing with the fact that i've used a dynamat alternative to allow for more efficent usage of amplifier power, i only run 100 watts to each sub and 75 to the front components and have no rear speakers. through the usage of a radio-shack purchaced sound level meter i try not to turn the stereo up past 72db. i like my hearing, and feel that it's vital to my enjoyment of life, this is why i installed subwoofers, so i wouldn't have to turn the volume up as much to enjoy the full range of frequencies...

in closing i'd like to add i share similar concerns for your health. stupidity is as yet uncurable and very hazardous to your health and the health of those around you. it scares me that someone who is a close minded bigot like yourself, might be building race cars or working on life dependant safety equipment.

Oh now I'm a fag for wanting civility where none exists anymore? I won't bore you with my education or credentials as you did me. I will however reiterate that most people who install those systems have no regard for anyone but themselves. They are selfish, self absorbed *******s, like you for example. Dont end up in my ER, and if you do don't let me know it's you..

and i'll reiterate that you lack manners and express skewed, prejudiced points of view.

fag1 ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fg)
n.

A student at a British public school who is required to perform menial tasks for a student in a higher class.
A drudge.
Chiefly British. Fatiguing or tedious work; drudgery.

i was insinuating that dealing with self absorbed bigots like you is tedious work.

we could keep this up forever. Play your stereo loud, turn it up and just think of yourself. In fact always think of just yourself, (that should be easy for you). If there is a lane reduction ahead, pass everyone and cut in. Throw all your trash wherever you want. Pay for a two dollar item with your debit card. It's all about you Robbie ol boy!!!!

You preach for wanting civility, yet it was you that waltzed in here with an overly inflated ego, and called everyone who owns a subwoofer an a**hole.......

Maybe if you enjoy civility, you should consider being civil yourself. As it is a 2 way street, no one held a gun to your head and forced you to click the reply button and show the world how big of an ass you truly are. You did that yourself........
