Finished 944 Digital Dash

I finally got some pics of the dash now that it's finished. The car is also for sale if anyone is interested.

i think if you fixed the dash with the dash cover and did something different with the gauges ( installed to look better) it might look more attractive to sell, other than that how much you asking?

Wouldn't touch the 944. But what do you want for the truck in the back ground?

And when does the corn ripen?

if all the guages were completely shot i think its good, but could use some finishing work and a different speedo

I don't know how much it is worth. How much do you all, being that you hate it, think i could get? I know the gauge are falling out of dash, that's becuase the dash isn't finished! I just finshed the car this morning. I need a dash cap and some aluminum and i think it will look alot better.

If i could get $3,000 for it i would be more than happy, but like i said before, i don't know what they are worth.

If you really want the truck $200

And Everything was wrong with my old cluster. I didnt like the black and yellow, none of the lights worked, the oil gauge pegged constantly and wouldnt stay still. The fuel gauge was never consistent, and my speedometer cable broke. I didnt like this at first, i will admit, but at night it's really awsome to drive, and it really is alot easier to see. You wouldnt think the speedometer would be, but it's really alot nicer i think. But then again i have the worst taste and ideas for things.

Thank you for selling the 944 before you do anything else to it. I just pray that you don't make anything else that looks like that 3000GT. And those can be such good looking cars too....I hope you burn in hell for that. I take back saying that it was your poor driving that killed that car, it was God being so furious that something that hideous was created that he had to destroy it.

You have officially lost all respect, please turn to your right and exit through the door marked FAGS

Looks like some of the suck-ass old airplanes I used to fly - the instrumentation was "franken-panel", kind of like that. Not to bust on you, but that looks absolutely hideous.

Who jizzed in gearhead's coffee this time?!

Not bad. They should be set into the dash, though. Not sort of 'cliff-hanging' out of the dash. Looks like they're about to hit the steering wheel.

Better than the HUD idea.

this has an easy answer:

ANYTHING that isn't VDO's floor-sweeping crap quality gauges which came as standard equipment with Porsches... is an improvement.

Whoa... everyone step away from the keyboard....

I'mwithstupid - You took an interesting approach to instrument replacement - congrats on getting it all hooked up and working - with a little finishing work, I'm sure it will look much better. Would be curious to see how it looked in a stock series 2 gauge cluster.

Easy there gearhead. Yeah, I'mwithstupid made some mistakes when he first got here. I think he's calmed down his posts a bit.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of his instrument cluster, but you gotta give the guy credit for experimenting with 'creative' ideas.

Imwithstupid: I suggest you re-read your 'ad' for the car - there are a few spelling & grammar mistakes - fix them, and you'll have a greater chance of people taking your ad seriously. (It's all about marketing!)
Stuff I noticed:

Drivers Door Open - Gauges On... should be: Driver's Door Open - Gauges On...
not as nice as the look, need paint should be: not as nice as they look, need paint
It doesnt look cheap, and is hardley noticeable should be ...and is hardly noticable.
vynil should be: vinyl
Origionally should be: Originally
Beggining of this month should be: Beginning of this month...
It would out handled my all wheel drive all wheel steering 3000gt... should be: It would out handle my all wheel drive...

Oh, and stating: "Other than that the car runs perfect." is kinda like "My girlfriend looks just like Britney Spears except...."
And again: "There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car other than stated and i would love to keep it. " Okay... Keep such claims to a minimum - or rather, just simply remove them!

Not trying to nit-pick, just trying to help you sell your car!
-Z-man.

Holy Crap, thats not a Crack in the dash! Its more like a gorge.

The guages are interesting? Functional is good, just clean it up, pay the $60 for the dash cap. You want to have the car as clean and propper as possible when you want to sell it. Good luck and although I dont like the guages I admire the work and effort you put in.

All and all, I think someone in Imwithstupid's demographic and some cash may find the car apealing...if you can get past the "nightrider" look

Imwithstupid, you left out the most important part in the ad...THE BELTS!!!
