I have a 1984 944. I've owned it for some time so I am familiar with the constant fixing that must occur with this car. My latest problem is baffling me though. Last week I replaced the water pump and thermostat and today I replaced the radiator. The temoerature guage is still climbing up to the red befor the fan comes on. Then it only cools down to just above the third line. I'm freaking out. I don't know what else to check so if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Did you replace the temp sensor? Or thrmo-switch for the fan?

Make sure the fans are working right, Is only one fan running or both?? Did you forget to plug one in??? Did you get all the air out of the system?? Try flushing the block to remove any debree. Check all hoses too.

Both of the fans are plugged in but only one fan is working and is intermittant. On occasion , it won't turn on. I flushed out everything and the hoses are good. Bled the system so there shouldn't be any air.
